Passionate about the great outdoors and textiles, my professional career in the world of outdoor textiles has been staked by rich experiences.
From Lyon to England, I found in the Basque Country the ideal ground to design products directly with the users and thus create products that meet a real need.
THE TEXTILE SECTOR MUST RE-INVENT ITSELF
Over the years, the needs have multiplied to finally create products that will be worn only once, that go out of fashion quickly, and finally end up among the 650 tonnes of textile waste per year.

Born from the art of living in the Basque Country, between Land and Sea, a real playground for sportsmen and nature lovers, the name Otxangoa means “Excursion” in Basque associated with the “O” of Olatu the wave, its DNA is based on this mix of Earth and Ocean lifestyle.
Thanks to Otxangoa, we test processes, ways of designing directly on our own products.

“For over 18 years, I have been designing and developing products in the world of active and outdoor sports for different brands, for all levels of ranges and requirements.
I have built my experience over the years in France and internationally with brands but also with importers and factories from all walks of life. This allows me today to have a global vision of the market and to have been appointed “Expert-Consultant in Design” by BPI France. Head of a Design agency in the Basque Country for 8 years, I wanted to create a brand that would be above all a “laboratory” in order to test different approaches between innovation and eco-design in the world of sport and lifestyle.
Lyonnaise living in the Basque Country, I savor a territory where the sea and the mountains compete in the hearts of nature lovers. So I created Otxangoa, whose name reflects the connection between the O of the Olatu wave and Txangoa, which evokes the trail and the excursion… Thus mixing the two worlds that are dear to me.”
